My, how a calendar month flies by!  That's correct ... it's Crazy Cooking Challenge time!  This month's challenge - CHOCOLATE CAKE.  Pretty appropriate for the calendar week earlier Valentine's Day, wouldn't y'all say?

Off chocolate cake a-searchin' I went.  I narrowed it downward to 3 ... Chocolate Guinness Stout Cake, Red Wine Chocolate Cake, as well as Root Beer Cake ... as well as had a really tough fourth dimension choosing my finally contender.  I thus wanted to build all three!  The selection came downward to what I planned to do amongst the cake itself.  See, I planned to offload portion the cake amongst my instructor friends at school.  I didn't intend it would last a slap-up persuasion to accept a cake sitting at that topographic point where all 750 of our students walk past times to learn their tiffin amongst a large ol' sign saying "Guinness Stout Cake" or "Red Wine Cake."  Probably non the most appropriate words for wee ones' eyes.

So, this Root Beer Cake I flora at One Apron became my choice.  I decided to "rename" it Chocolate Root Beer Float Cake because of the agency the light-colored origin beer glaze on exceed makes me intend of the vanilla-ice-cream-foam on the exceed of an actual origin beer float.  Pretty, isn't it?

The origin beer season inward this cake is definitely "there," but it's non overpowering.  It's a overnice residue of the chocolate as well as origin beer tastes, that withal allows both to come upward through.  That existence said, if you're genuinely non a fan of origin beer, this cake is in all likelihood non for you.

Begin your cake batter past times melting roughly semi-sweet chocolate as well as butter together amongst carbohydrate as well as origin beer.  Mmmmmmm ... sounds proficient already.

Let this cool inward a mixing bowl ...

... as well as thus add together your dry out ingredients.

Bake it upward inward a bundt pan.  Once it's out of the oven, at 1 time poke holes inward the cake ...

... as well as pour on roughly origin beer.

Take a deep breath, nation a lilliputian prayer that your cake won't stick inward the pan, as well as thus plow the cake out ...

Whew!!!!  Success.

Cool the cake completely as well as thus drizzle amongst origin beer glaze.

Just hold off at those rootbeer glaze pools that shape equally it trickles downward the cake.  Yum.

And at that topographic point y'all accept it.  Gorgeous as well as tasty Chocolate Root Beer Float Cake to offload on share amongst your friends!
